To support our mission, we are seeking a Conversions Supervisor who will manage all aspects of the conversion process during graveyard hours between events at the Rose Quarter. This person will be supervising a crew of employees in completing arena conversions in a timely and safe manner.
You will be responsible for:
Working closely with the Conversion supervisory staff to help manage the changeover crews during all conversions at the Rose Quarter.
Overseeing the day-to-day and event work responsibilities of the Conversion Department.
Providing training in proper techniques and procedures of conversions and use of conversion equipment.
Assisting with recruitment, training and supervision of all personnel.
Overseeing Conversions timelines, goals, quality-assurance, and the safety training of crews.
Finding way to increase efficiency and minimize property loss and/or damage.
Partnering and assisting with weekly and monthly Conversion work schedules and calendars to insure necessary staff are working on a daily, weekly, and per event basis.
Confirming event information from Event Management and Productions and relaying communication as appropriate.
Helping to maintain and manage inventory control and proper storage of Conversion equipment, tools, and other supplies by working closely with Facility Services department.
Acting as a liaison between the Conversion Department and Facility Management.
Responsible for motivating and keeping high morale within the Conversion crew.
Working with the Department Manager to procure any necessary equipment for the Conversions Department.
Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures that insures the highest possible standards of operations are met and sustained.
You are qualified if:
You have a Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You can work an inconsistent schedule primarily covering a graveyard shift including weekends and holidays. Some overtime may be required.
You demonstrate excellent people management skills and have experience effectively leading and supervising a team.
You have experience driving a forklift (certification preferred).
You are a team player, collaborative and willing to jump in wherever necessary – this person will need to roll up their sleeves.
You have experience building positive relationships inter-departmentally and cross-functionally.
You demonstrate strong project management with the ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and promptly react to difficult situations in an effective manner. You are flexible and creative when taking care of last minute requests/changes.
You are effective in getting results and meeting tight deadlines.
You are detail-oriented and dedicated to strong communication and follow through.
You have strong technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an interest in learning new systems and programs.
