Western Illinois University Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant for the 2018-19 academic year in the administrative office. The External Relations GA will work closely with the Assistant Director of Athletics for Development and assist with development operations with responsibilities including writing and designing development plans, improving donor engagement, hosting donor events, and other duties as assigned. The External Relations GA will also work closely with the Ticketing Manager to create and implement a comprehensive ticket plan, manage season ticket accounts, handle single-game sales and ticket window(s), and other duties as assigned. This position includes various game day duties and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Experience with donor and ticketing software is a plus.
Required: Candidate must have a bachelor's degree. Position offer contingent upon admission in good standing into a Western Illinois University Graduate program. Candidate must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and creative skills. Successful candidates must be willing and available to work some evenings and weekends.
Preferred: Previous experience in a collegiate or professional development or ticketing office is preferred. Experience supervising student employees is also preferred.
Additional Salary Information: This position will offer a tuition waiver, a monthly stipend, and the opportunity to renew the assistantship at the conclusion of the 2018-2019 academic year.
