Position Overview: The Aspire Group seeks a positive and passionate individual that is committed to becoming a sports sales industry leader. Sales and Service Consultant’s revenue will be generated primarily via outbound phone calls. These calls will be supplemented with email marketing. Day to day leadership and mentoring of this career growth oriented sports sales development program will be provided by the FRMC Leadership Team. Sales and Service Consultants will receive the tools, programs and systems necessary for them to "BE GREAT."
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs inbound/outbound calls for UTRGV Athletics for all ticketed sports including Men's and Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball, Men's and Women's Soccer, and Baseball. Inventory available for sale from the UTRGV FRMC includes, but is not limited to: season tickets, group tickets, partial/mini-plan ticket packages, and single-game tickets.
Meets or exceeds weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service Grows sales significantly each week by attracting additional business leads.
Maintains computerized records of all prospects and customers within Ticketing/ CRM database Works home games, performing various ticket sales and service duties as assigned and agreed upon with FRMC Leadership.
Contacts area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, corporate, partial plans, and group ticket plans.
Makes 80-100 outbound calls daily.
Performs additional duties as required.
Desire to start and grow a career in the sports ticket sales industry or collegiate athletics
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail-oriented
Previous customer service or retail sales experience displays a genuine desire to help people
University Tickets software experience is a plus
Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
Ability to promote a professional image and demeanor at all times
Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
Preferred candidates will have at least 1 year sports ticket sales experience
About The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) was created by the Texas Legislature in 2013 in a historic move that brings together the resources and assets of The University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) and The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) and, for the first time, makes it possible for residents of the Rio Grande Valley to benefit from the Permanent University Fund—a public endowment contributing support to the University of Texas System and the Texas A&M University System.
The new university is home to a new School of Medicine and will transform Texas and the nation by becoming a leader in student success, teaching, research, and health care. UTRGV enrolled its first class in the fall of 2015, and the School of Medicine enrolled its first cohort in the summer of 2016.
