•Manages and schedules assignments for subordinate Coordinators/Managers for Event Services Department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, supervision and evaluation of these areas. •Carries out supervision in accordance with MMG’s policies and applicable laws. •Supervision responsibilities of these areas includes interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and rewarding or disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and solving problems associated with department employees. •Coordinates events as necessary – including ascertaining client requirements, communicating and distributing these requirements internally, oversight of setup and events, and being point person for the client. •Produces event orders, reports, diagrams outlining event requirements concerning facilities, equipment, FF&E, catering needs, etc. •Ensure facility rules, regulation policies and procedures are enforced. •Inventory, order and maintain Event Services equipment. •Observe and report facility repairs and maintenance as necessary. •Annual review, update and distribution of the facility Emergency Plan. •Annual review, update and distribution of the facility Technical Specifications Guide. •Perform upkeep of the evaluation system for the part-time Event Services staff. •Meets and consults with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events •Coordinates activities with the various service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events. •Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies and procedures •Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing. •Monitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary. •Monitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events. •Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations. •Develops standard operating procedures for the Event Services Department and monitors their compliance. •Serves as Manager on Duty as required. •Other duties may be assigned.
A four-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum 5 - 7 years of supervisory experience in event management.

Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays.
Requires standing and walking about 60% of the time; may lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs.; Push or pull objects up to 200lbs using appropriate equipment; may climb stairs and ladders; may bend, twist, kneel, stoop and reach overhead;
May be exposed to irregular ranges of humidity and temperature.
