Our Patron Services Supervisor provides management-level oversight for events at Overture Center. Responsibilities include providing operational oversight, determining staffing resources, and working with the public. Work is characterized by the regular exercise of independent judgment and involves staff supervision and program administration. Work involves mostly irregular hours including nights and weekends. ** Hours vary depending on events scheduled. This is a full time position. Must be available evenings and weekends. **
•Provides oversight of events at Overture center to ensure the highest quality patron experience. Supervises employees and volunteers, resolves complaints and coordinate responses and actions. •Manages Overture Center Front-of-House personnel including hiring, training, evaluation, payroll approval, and discipline •Develops, implements, and monitors systems and procedures to coordinate services and ensure effective communication. •Advances Front-of-House information and show merchandise sales. •Provides for positive and effective patron/ community/ public interaction •Monitors building activity and assists where needed. •Calculates time cards, completes settlements, distributes vouchers, gives facility tours and arranges meetings. •Provides oversight for policy and procedure •Maintain and operates lighting settings, sound, scanners, radios and assistive devices
Minimum of 5-7 years of related progressive, management-level customer service experience in theater, front-of-house operations, event services or similar field.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, theater, business administration or related field. Combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
Preference given to those with working knowledge of performance and event requirements, artists’ needs, performance venue requirements, and public expectations for performances and events.
Customer service skills. Including the ability to communicate effectively with customers of various age, socioeconomic, and ethnic groups; and to handle diverse circumstances and activities.
Working knowledge of supervisory techniques, including team building, workload allocation, and staff scheduling and allocation in conjunction with variable events. Must be able to assess staffing needs and engage employees in a non-traditional work environment.
Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to operate computers and software for word processing, spreadsheets, and data management.
Ability to perform complex mathematical computations.
Ability to learn specific computer operations applicable to areas of responsibility.
Ability to understand and independently carry out direction and procedures and to communicate effectively.
Must be able to operate a computer, telephone and two-way radio, and be able to walk and navigate stairs.
