California State University, Bakersfield is seeking a graduate assistant for the ticket sales & operations department during the 2018-19 academic year. The position involves assisting the CSUB Athletics Ticket Office with building attendance at home games, maximizing ticket revenue, while also creating a positive gameday atmosphere and fan experience. This position will primarily focus on ticketing, but the selected candidate will have opportunities in other areas throughout the department.
This position will commence on August 21,2018.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Generate revenue and attendance through the sale of season tickets, partial-season plans, group outings, and single game tickets. •Develop relationships with potential clients through outbound call campaigns, emails, facility tours, in-event prospecting, mailings, out of office meetings, proposals, and presentations. •Act as a service representative for all accounts and clients generated. •Serve as box office attendant during events and non-event days as needed, handling cash and credit/debit card transactions. •Act as the lead ticketing representative should the Director of Ticket Sales & Operations be unavailable for an event. •Assist the Director of Ticket Sales & Operations on special projects and other duties as assigned. Compensation
The recipient of this position will receive a tuition scholarship award as well as a stipend. Out of state applicants may be eligible for a tuition waiver, but will be responsible for any out of state fees should they be ineligible for the waiver.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree and currently be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in a graduate degree program at CSUB. Employment is contingent upon admission and enrollment in the graduate program. As a condition for retention, the GA must remain in good academic standing within the graduation program. Ideal candidates are highly sociable, outgoing, and energetic. Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Additional Salary Information: Stipend will be included.
