POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for overall management and daily operation of the parking and security departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES •Identify and fill staffing and facility needs for parking as well as security for daily and event operations •Oversee venues security provider contract •Create, implement and maintain the venue security plan •Provide oversight of venue security provider •Lead venue security team. •Establish and maintain effective working relationships with police, FBI, Homeland Security, fire, EMS and other security personnel and/or safety organizations •Hire, supervise, assign duties, monitor performance and provide training for all employees in the parking department •Monitor parking sales, process cash receipts and tickets through established internal control procedures •Develop and coordinate training programs for full-time and part-time staff to increase awareness of security issues •Prepare payroll, maintain records and compile reports for management on a regular basis •Monitor and maintain inventory of parking and security supplies and equipment •Coordinate event needs with Sr. Event Manager •Promotes a customer service-centric and positive public relations approach to the execution of all duties •Handle parking and security complaints, disturbances or related problems with the public, staff or promoters. •Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends & holidays •Other Duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS This position will work under limited supervision, and will require the ability to interact with all levels of management, employees and clients. Individual must be able to supervise others, work independently as well as judge and assess a situation quickly. Position may require heavy lifting, climbing, carrying, bending, stooping, and kneeling. Position is routinely required to work outdoors and exposed to elements (heat, rain, etc.), able to work flexible and irregular hours, including weekends and nights.
At least three years management/supervisor experience working in a major parking facility
Must have experience and advance knowledge in all aspects of parking operations as well as arena best practices
Three to five years of large volume of cash handling as well as skill in counting cash accurately
Must have the ability to communicate professionally at all times regarding confrontational situations in a high pressure environment without loss of composure
Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills is a must
Must have computer skills particularly in Office
Must have the ability to function both independently and as a team member
High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred
