The Senior Food and Beverage Manager will direct all catering, concessions and cash outlets through sales efforts and training.
Essential Job Duties •Sets the direction for the team with emphasis on the highest level of quality in food and beverage products and service levels. •Analyzes reports to support all food and beverage outlets for Bojangles’ Coliseum, Ovens Auditorium and the Lynk. Utilizes distributed leadership for analysis and accounting for proper payment. •Forecasts financial budgets, procures needed assets, and supports long range capital planning for the Food Service Operations. •Manages annual operating budgets for programs and service, and tracks progress for revenue targets and recommends new revenue generating strategies. •Leads efforts of food and beverage management team to ensure operational effectiveness. •Coordinates with event planners to ensure all guest needs are taken care of in a timely manner. •Insures Kitchen staff are trained and working within code in all areas for their job roles. •Conducts training across all venues to support customer service standards. •Collaborates with venues by evaluating leads to determine the benefit it may provide and proposes specialized proposal language and pricing to secure future business. •Reviews all operating procedures to ensure objectives are met and information needed for future planning is captured. •Works closely with sales teams to maximize occupancy of the Lynk and supports Ovens and Bojangles’ venues. •Provides guidance and direction, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. •Meets with key staff to ensure the line of communication is in line with all programs and incentives designed. •Works closely with Building Manger to generate ideas on how the new space can be used and occupancy kept at a high level. •Works with Senior Manager of Catering Sales to utilize that team in meeting venue needs and to communicate menus and changes as they occur. •Works closely with Food and Beverage Operations Manager to create similar practices for Concessions Operations throughout venues.
We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of food & beverage, have creativity and good business acumen, a strong work ethic and people-management skills.
5-7 years previous operations leadership experience in a food and beverage environment.
Bachelor's degree and/or appropriate combination of education and work experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
Significant expertise in food and beverage management with a catering/concessions emphasis.
Up-to-date certifications for safe food handling and responsible alcoholic beverage service.
Solid and proven track record for sales and leadership success.
Demonstrated financial acumen.
Demonstrated success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and divisions to accomplish tasks.
Keen ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
Ability to work extended or irregular hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
