The Box Office Manager assists in the overall administrative planning, direction and policy implementation within the department. He/She supervises department staff to ensure the highest quality service program is offered to patrons, promoters and other interested parties. The Box Office Manager will share the responsibility of maintaining strong working relationship with Barclays Center management and staff along with event promoters.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree required and minimum 3 years’ experience in a Box Office setting. • Archtics and Ticketmaster Host background required. • Experience in accounting and customer service is essential. • Candidates should have experience dealing with promoters. • Experience in an arena environment preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs Ticketmaster Host and Archtics computerized programming for all events as needed, with primary focus assisting on all ticket operations for arena sporting events. • Coordinates all event information between the promoter, facility personnel and the ticket company in a timely manner. •Work with Box Office Management to train and manage all part-time staff, evaluating and coaching as necessary to maintain a well-groomed, well trained staff with a commitment to customer service. • Provide consistent and accurate reporting on all Barclays Center events. • Serve as the main Box Office contact for Barclays Center Suite Ticketing. • Assist Box Office Team with all ticketed arena events. •Oversees reconciliation and settlement of Group Sales consignments. •Assists with reconciliation and settlement including preparation of pertinent reports and miscellaneous back-up for all events. • Able to comprehend complex situations and identify successful resolutions. • Must be detailed oriented and have effective multitasking skills. • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. • Have strong analytical, problem solving, and resolution skills. • Must have the ability to manage and direct up to 40 union staff members. • Strong ability to adapt to change, work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results in a fast paced environment. • Must have experience with Archtics, Ticketmaster Host, Ticketmaster Access Manger & Archtics Account Manager. • Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) • Able to reconcile large volume of cash and credit card transactions. • Collaborates with other departments to ensure delivery of quality services. • Must possess a high degree of interpersonal and customer service skills necessary to ensure total guest satisfaction. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Maintain a positive public/professional profile at all times.
