The University of Houston in Houston, TX, has a full-time opportunity in the Athletic Department with the working title of Ticket Office Account Executive (Athletic Ticket Sales Rep). The main focus in this position is to provide first-class quality customer service to all donors, season ticket holders, and fans of the University of Houston. Proactive and reactive relationship building strategies and customer satisfaction are key to building a loyal season ticket holder base. The Account Executive is expected to meet goals, pay close attention to detail, and establish leads to generate sales.
• Initiate successful sales campaign efforts, primarily via outbound sales calls and in-person solicitations, as well as email and written consent. • Cultivate relationships with businesses and organizations to ensure customer satisfaction and future growth of ticket sales. • Contact prospective clients, answers questions, and follows up after sales to make sure all needs were met. • Establish, maintain and expand client lists. • Report sales activities to supervisor and keep accurate records. • Ensures that personal sales goals and objectives are met in accordance to all NCAA, AAC, and departmental rules and regulations. • Assist with game day staffing of events • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Collegiate or professional ticketing experience
Self-starter who complete tasks efficiently, as assigned
The ability to handle high pressure situations and meet deadlines while being courteous, following appropriate customer service standards to vendors, customers and co-workers.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication via phone, emails, and in person interactions with donors and customers
Ability to work extended hours and weekends for events
Experience with CPI Compliance cash handling and credit card security
Knowledge of Spectra Paciolan ticketing software
Experience with Salesforce CRM software
2+ years of relevant work experience in college and/or professional sports
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
