| This position will be responsible for constructing an enjoyable and memorable game day experience at athletic events, and assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans for the Athletics Marketing Department in order to generate ticket revenue, drive attendance, create a first-class fan experience, market, promote, brand and enhance all facets of the Athletics Department while fostering innovative and collaborative efforts to engage students, staff, alumni, supporters and prospective fans of Liberty Athletics. This position will work with the Associate AD for Marketing & Ticket Sales to identify strategies and events for building affinity for Liberty Athletics with the goal of increasing ticket sales and attendance for the University's NCAA ticketed sports. |
• Work closely with the Associate AD for Marketing & Ticket Sales in regards to marketing plans and strategies in an effort to increase department revenue and attendance while continually improving the fan experience. • Create and execute marketing plans for an athletics department with 20 NCAA Division I programs, with primary focus on football, men’s basketball and softball. • Work closely with the department's advertising agency and University Marketing to generate strategies that result in the greatest amount of exposure and revenue generation and positive fan experience for Liberty Athletics. • Plan, conduct, and evaluate effectiveness of game-day promotional and entertainment activities. • Develop timing sheets, game scripts and promotions as well as game day staffing to present the best possible fan experience. • Coordinate special events such as fan fest, welcome back picnic, etc. • Work with the University Marketing Department in regards to concepts and designs for video board content, promotional items and advertising. Manage projects to make sure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Coordinate teams and facilities for video and photo shoots as needed. • Coordinate the design, production and distribution of promotional items such as schedule cards, posters, fan giveaways and other marketing related items. • Assist with the coordination of the advertising plan to increase ticket sales and attendance which includes but is not limited to television, radio, print and billboard among others within budget. • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including concept development, initiation, and evaluation of their effectiveness. • Develop and implement strategies to increase levels of student involvement. Including, but not limited to, appearing at student group meetings, orientation, working closely with Student Government, Recreational Sports, Student Affairs and Residence Life to provide activities for students in conjunction with athletic events. • Assist department’s multi-media rights holder, Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment, with sponsorship fulfillment including, but not limited to in-game promotions, static facility and scoreboard signage, game programs, digital video board signage, and television and radio broadcasts among others. • Coordinate membership drives, promotional events and fulfillment of benefits for the Student Flames Club. • Work with coaches, student-athletes and Academic Affairs for Athletics in all community outreach efforts. Coordinate with coaches and student-athletes in regards to all public appearances and speaking engagements. Create a platform to help communicate community outreach efforts to the general public. • Coordinate schedules of spirit groups including marching band, pep band, cheerleaders and mascot. • Oversight of the Assistant Marketing Director, graduate assistants and student interns including the hiring process. • Other duties as assigned Interested applicants should send cover letter, resume and list of three references to Tim East, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, email@example.com.
