Director of Ticket Sales and Operations
Towson University is accepting applications for a Director of Ticket Sales and Operations. This position is responsible for overseeing ticket operations and sales. This includes managing relationships for current season ticket holders, prospecting new clients, group sales and individual tickets. The Director of Ticket Sales will report to the Assistant Athletic Director, Fan Development and will work directly with Event and Conference Services staff on game days.
The Director of Ticket Sales and Operations will retain and establish relationships with current season ticket holders and donors by providing superior customer service for ticketed sports at TU; including football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, gymnastics and men's and women's lacrosse. This position develops new business for Towson Athletics through prospecting new fans, generating referrals and leads, cold calling and face to face appointments. Responsible for hiring, training and management of ticket office staff and game day ticket operations; processes ticket orders and coordinates distribution of all correspondence with ticketing patrons and develops a comprehensive customer care program. Creates, maintains and modifies all ticketed events in the Ticketmaster ticketing system. Manages data collection and analysis to help direct ticketing decision making processes. Maintains and oversees ticket office safe, deposits, and all monies inside. Serves as customer service manager over ticketing function on game days and coordinates with Auxiliary Services game day staffing personnel.
Bachelor's Degree and three years' experience in athletics ticketing operations, preferably at Division I level. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, superior organizational skills and an ability to provide high level of customer service. Strong analytical skills. Experience with Archtics operating and reporting system preferred.
