Position Overview: The Associate Director, Marketing and Game Day Experience will develop the external and execute the external vision for the department, which includes social media strategy, advertising campaigns, promotional schedules, and game day experience. The position will implement this vision by working closely with Head Coaches, Sport Administrators, Athletic Communications, Howlin' Huskies Video Production, Corporate Partnership and Ticket Office staff. The position will serve as the primary marketing contact for men's ice hockey and men's basketball and will oversee an assistant director for marketing and a graduate assistant/intern, who manage and execute the marketing and game day experience for the following sports: Field Hockey, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Women's Basketball, Swimming and Diving, Women's Hockey, Track and Field/Cross Country, Men's and Women's Rowing and Baseball.
• Bachelor’s degree in sport marketing, administration, management or a related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred. • 5+ years of related work experience in NCAA-member athletics marketing, communications, public relations or related field. • Team player that works cooperatively and collaboratively with other business units. • Experience supervising, mentoring and providing direction to others. • Strong attention to detail, organization, verbal, written, customer service and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules. • Graphic design, digital advertising and social media experience. • Strong time management, ability to stay focused through interruptions, thrives in team environment, strong analytic and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team and motivate staff in a fast-paced environment. • Track record of success and productivity. • Understand and uphold standards befitting the Northeastern Athletic Department. • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America and successfully pass a background check.
