About the role
Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate basic knowledge and application of the basic principles of marketing as they pertain to sales, database management and market research; demonstrate experience and proficiency with hosted ticketing database management software such as Paciolan or Archtics; demonstrate organizational and documentation skills and attention to detail; demonstrate ability to take initiative, prioritize workload, and constantly maintain systems and practices with limited supervision; possess good analytical and written and verbal communications skills; demonstrate a basic application of accounting skills as they apply to revenue generation.
To serve as the first point of contact for incoming sales calls and in-person office transactions Serve as a primary caretaker of the Vanderbilt Ticket Office Twitter account while coordinating with Vanderbilt Athletic Digital platforms Create, implement and execute direct email marketing and sales campaigns using TM Messenger and TM Content Builder. Serve as the primary contact for all student ticketing including digital ticketing and database management. To assist in building customer service, marketing and sales for Vanderbilt ticketing through new initiatives. Compile trend reports utilizing existing marketing databases to increase sales through basic marketing research tools such as online data collection and direct mail. To perform integrity maintenance on the ticketing database management software as a precursor to balancing revenue to the general ledger. Utilization of online web-based ticketing software including on-sale items, online renewable promotions and system-based email network and newsletters. To assist the Director of Ticketing with daily reconciliation of revenue reports to the athletic business office. To assist in the coordination of outbound sales initiatives while assisting in grassroots ticket sales implementation. Annually, assisting with closing of sport seasons to the general accounting ledger of the athletic business office and the audit of automated systems by the NCAA. Other supervisory duties and special projects assigned by the Director of Ticketing. Help prepare and distribute invoices to visiting teams. Qualifications This position requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field. One year of relevant experience in a ticket office is preferred. Must be available to work during all athletic events as needed. Normal daily hours are 8:30 am till 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
