The full time position of Assistant General Manager supports in all day to day aspects of venue operations including booking, forecasting, team management, event management and oversight of theatre maintenance and operations.
Coordinate and conduct show settlements with tour representatives and process overnight Profit & Loss statements.
Management of the Majestic & Empire booking calendar.
Support with coordination and oversight of all aspects of programming of the theatres, including third party venue rentals, and oversight of co-promoted engagements and self-promoted events in coordination with the Talent Buyer(s), as well as all private venue rentals. Outreach to, and management of, all community based rentals, are included duties.
Distribute communications regarding event confirmations, ticket build information, budgets and riders for self-promoted and rental events.
Execution of venue rental license agreements.
Manager on Duty at events.
Open door policy; regular communication and support for team and awareness of daily business goings-on.
The applicant should have at least three years experience in venue management with increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience in venue and events operations.
Experience in the oversight of a broad-based programming strategy including music, comedy, performing arts and community events is required.
Professional attitude a high level of customer service and communication.
Organizational and financial management skill; high level of computer literacy.
Thorough understanding of arts management best practices; excellent writing and communication skills.
Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to work flexible hours which will include nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
