Under the general supervision of the Event Center Operations Manager, the Box Office Supervisor oversees and coordinates all Event Center Box Office operations to include daily operations and event day operations. Oversees Event Center website, social media platforms and other marketing efforts as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Manages the daily ticket selling operations for the Event Center Box Office for all events.
2.Hires, trains, schedules and supervises all box office student and part time staff.
3.Demonstrates excellent customer service, promptly responds to all client and customer needs and requests.
4.Monitors, and regularly updates content on Event Center social media platforms, creating interactive, dynamic and fresh content.
5.Ensures all information on the Event Center website is current and accurate. Regularly provide updates to reflect event activity.
6.Interacts with promoters and event presenters to ensure all print and digital marketing inventory is produced and distributed as required.
7.Ensures strict adherence to all Student Union cash handling and accounting policy procedures.
8.Responsible for building event manifests for online and on site sales in an accurate and timely manner as directed by Event Center General Manager.
9.Act as on site Box Office representative on day of events for all ticketing needs, including staffing, marking temporary seating sections, ensuring proper operation of all necessary equipment and day of show ticket changes, modifications and sales.
10.Prepares reports and all other information needed for settlement on show days, as directed by Event Center General Manager.
11.Accurately records and audits daily transactions and completes daily deposits in a timely manner, according to Student Union accounting policy and procedures.
12.Actively works with Ticketmaster to maintain a high level of competency in the operation of all Ticketmaster products and technologies to optimize box office operation.
13.Assists in the development and monitoring the Box Office budget.
14.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Specifications
1. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing or related field.
2. Two years’ experience in Box Office operations or event management in a venue of similar size and activity.
3. Two years’ experience in graphic design, web site content management, social media content, and/or marketing.
4. Two years’ experience supervising fulltime or part-time staff
5. Experience with cash handling and preparation of daily deposits.
6. Requires very good interpersonal skills.
7. Requires very good customer service, verbal and written communications skills.
8. Requires good computer skills.
This position is exempt from the provisions of Section 1 of the California Industrial Welfare Commission Orders.
Salary Range: $47,496 – $70,973 ($3,958 - $5,914)
