Description The Tanger Performing Arts Center Advertising Coordinator position is responsible for providing in-house Concert and Family Show advertising agency services to events at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. This position will develop, manage and coordinate effective advertising campaigns for the purpose of selling tickets and promoting the various non-Broadway performances at the Tanger Center, a brand new, 3,000-seat state-of-the-art performing arts center in downtown Greensboro, NC. This position will need to work creatively and is one of four total marketing positions at Tanger Center to include a Broadway Marketer, a marketing assistant for social, emails, etc., and a Group Sales. This position will collaborate with all four when fully staffed. The successful candidate in this position will research demographics and place cash media buys, create marketing trade agreements and develop promotional opportunities to maximize print, radio, outdoor, social and television placement for assigned events. The position has responsibilities in managing e-mail distributions for pre-sales, pre-event and at other specific messaging times. The position will manage the design, printing and distribution of posters, flyers and other materials but will be more heavily focused on advertising buys. The position will require creative suite graphic capabilities for making advertisements, LED images and creative video commercial designs. Due to the department's size, all general marketing capabilities will need to be fulfilled including managing interns. Cultivating databases is an important responsibility overseen by this person and we will administer detailed e-mail marketing campaigns to sorted databases in coordination with the box office and Ticketmaster. Candidates must be able to complete advertising financial summaries and other duties as assigned. Working hours will include some nights and weekends to coincide with event coverage. Desired experience includes prior work in a media department of a public assembly facility or comparable business, specific knowledge of graphic design and copy writing, prior experience in managing promotions or use of promotional inventory. This employee must have excellent verbal, written and organizational skills and be an effective communicator.This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Bachelor's degree "OR" an equivalent combination of education and 3 to 5 years of "related" experience (i.e. event marketing, advertising, etc.)
Minimum 3 years of experience in advertising or promotional field.
Experience managing advertising campaigns for major events.
Experience using Microsoft Suite, In-design, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Specific event marketing experience, directly related to purchasing advertising, graphic design, direct marketing, promotions, or email solicitations
Valid driver's license
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field from an accredited College or University
2 year's experience with graphic design of brochures and advertisements
Work Schedule: 40 hours - Wednesday - Tuesday; (Overnight schedule including weekends and certain holidays)

Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts will be a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000. The Tanger Center is projected to host nearly 150 events per year and will be managed by the staff of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
