Responsibilities for the Director of Marketing and Communications include: strategic planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public affairs/public relations activities. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of marketing, communications and public relations. Develops, leads, and directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and public relations staff, contract agencies and vendors. Works closely with the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer in formulating strategy, prioritizing BJCC Authority initiatives, developing a consistent image, communication channels and brand position within the community and industry.

Minimum of 5-7 years experience in marketing, communications and public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the hospitality, entertainment or tourism industry.
Strong leadership, creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, technical, internet and marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, public relations or related field.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Out-of-town, overnight travel may be required.
