Interlochen Center for the Arts, one of America’s most prestigious institutions for arts education, performance, and fine arts presentations seeks to hire a Patron Services Coordinator.
This position provides quality customer service that exceeds guests’ expectations by paying close attention to every detail of the delivery of box office and front-of-house services. This detail-oriented position requires excellent organizational skills; professional interaction with internal departments, guest artists, patrons of all levels and students; an ability to work efficiently, accurately and effectively under pressure; and an ability to complete and prioritize tasks in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and proven experience in ticketing and event management. The ability to communicate with respect and diplomacy is essential to this position.
Assist with all facets of the daily operations of the box office.
Responsible for front-line operational excellence, including customer-facing interactions and front-of-house direction of events.
Serve as house manager for high capacity guest artist and student events.
Communicate regularly and assist internal departments with any ticketing needs and concerns.
Assist with monitoring of ticket sales and ticket page setup utilizing PatronManager, and the documentation of ticketing and event management processes and policies.
Facilitate guest artist merchandise sales and settlement.
Ensure all customer inquiries and complaints are handled accurately, politely, and enthusiastically within established customer satisfaction policies.
Exhibit excellent conflict management skills, while working within the framework of company policies.
Work with the Patron Services and Box Office Manager to lead the Patron Services team in delivering a world-class, safe and memorable experience for all guests.
Ensure successful event coordination and box office operation by supervising, training, and evaluating seasonal and part-time staff.
Assist in volunteer usher training, and work with the Volunteer Coordinator to arrange volunteer staffing at events.
Act as a team leader, in conjunction with Campus Safety and State Police, in the event of an emergency.
Maintain crowd control and entry safety checkpoints, especially during high-occupancy times.
Will need to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends, and additional summer hours based on concert and performance schedules.
Will work in the box office and multiple indoor and outdoor venues at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Will take part in the venue set up to include deployment of equipment up to 50lbs
Ability to remain calm in stressful, high-pressure situations, resolving conflict in a diplomatic manner
Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
Background in the arts preferred.
