Food and Beverage Manager Show Me Center Full Time
General Description: The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for maintaining quality service, and control standards for the Show Me Center Food and Beverage department. Oversight for all aspects of planning and execution of food offerings utilized for concessions, and catering, as well as the creation of event-specific menus. Responsibilities include the overall departmental performance, development of business plans, maintaining and processing proper documentation, managing food costs while upholding quality standards. Additional responsibilities include training appropriate staff in cash handling, food preparation, food safety, and customer service. Directly interface with clients, and the general public. Work is based on a 24 hour/7day a week operation. Work hours will vary and may be extended.
Develop departmental profit and loss statements, sales reports, budget, health and safety standards, and other relevant documentation
Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues and product quality while providing exemplary customer service
Create menus, maintain inventory, order supplies, set pricing, and generate billing documents
Oversee and participate in food preparation
Perform administrative duties including but not limited to cash handling and accountability, payroll
Supervise event staff directly and or through subordinates during events
Recruit, hire and train part-time as well as community group event staff
Schedule and allocate part time staff per departmental needs
Advance and disseminate information related events to the appropriate departments
Act as Manager on Duty for assigned events
Maintain a valid driver’s license
High school diploma or GED with equivalent experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or related supervisory position
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Computer literacy using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Demonstrable experience in food preparation including possessing or willingness to obtain ServSafe certification
