Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director

General Responsibilities: The Associate Athletic Director for External Operations serves as a member of the department's senior leadership team that is committed to excellence and advancing the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics through its strategic plan and vision. This senior level administrator will provide leadership, direction and managerial supervision for Athletic Communications, Creative and Emerging Media, Ticket Sales and Operations, Video Services, Marketing, Fan Experience, Licensing and Branding.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the oversight of athletic communications, creative and emerging media, ticket sales and operations, video services, marketing and fan experience, licensing and branding staff member oversight, policy development and budget management.
Oversee development, implementation and integration of a comprehensive communications plan consistent with the Athletics Department's overall branding, marketing and promotional strategy.
Acts as liaison between Athletics and University Communications and Marketing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external constituents.
As assigned by the Athletics Director, serve as Sports Administrator of assigned sports programs to provide leadership and counsel to coaches on a broad range of daily, on-going and annual administrative services, including but not limited to academic success, competitive excellence and fiscal responsibility.
Comply with all NCAA, Horizon League and Institutional rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors' degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
Minimum of three years' experience in Division I Intercollegiate Athletics or major professional sports in communications, marketing or creating/emerging media or ticketing/ticket sales.
Demonstrated experience as a leader to provide work direction to staff members.
Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, verbal, writing, interpersonal skills
Ability to plan, establish priorities, and organize varied and complex tasks
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team and motivate staff in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated support for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university's insurance carrier.
