UW-Platteville Athletic Department, and NCAA Division III member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Baseball Coach. This is a 50% position, which includes additional administrative duties in addition to coaching. The secondary duties will be determined on department needs and the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. Examples of secondary duties may include: event management, sports information, writing stories, compliance, fundraising, academics liaison, admissions liaison, student-athlete leadership/development/life skills, equipment, ticket operations, etc. The salary for this position is $17,000 firm.
Duties include, but are not limited to coaching and recruiting qualified student athletes including use of recruiting software, fundraising, camp operations, scouting, film breakdown, video exchange and associated software, developing community support for the program, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Fifteen percent of the position will be assigned to help the Athletic Department’s needs.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
Minimum one (1) year coaching experience on the collegiate level or high school level
Demonstrated recruiting ability
Ability to work weekends & evenings and also to travel
Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting and video exchange and breakdown
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
