Overview: The Big Apple Circus is looking for a Sales & Ticketing Assistant to join the circus, starting immediately in New York City. This position reports to and works closely with the VP of Sales & Ticketing.
Hours: Monday-Friday business hours with some evening and weekend work.
Supporting preparation of daily ticketing reports and sales analysis
Managing timeline of on-sale announcements and promotions to ensure target dates are met
Assisting in setting performance schedule and ticketing prices for all venues
Working with sales agents and events team on group sales, price adjustments, and other specialty ticketing needs
Coordinating with marketing department and press agencies on discounting strategies
Collaborating with third party ticket sellers such as TodayTix, Groupon, Goldstar, TDF, and Travelzoo
Facilitating design and creation of ticketing and box office materials such as tickets, rack cards, and pamphlets
Maintaining and updating guest information lists and databases
Managing and sending email newsletters
Troubleshooting ticketing issues with guests
Assisting with onsite events as needed
Minimum two years of experience in sales, ticketing, and/or the arts and entertainment industries
Familiarity with Ticketmaster and/or other ticketing applications; experience with Ticketmaster Host and TicketmasterOne preferred
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a high level understanding of Excel
Experience with CRM and email newsletter systems a plus
Excellent customer service instincts, strong written and verbal communication skills, and acute attention to detail
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
