Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts seeks an Assistant Director, Ticket Services to support the implementation and operations of live events across three different venues. Responsibilities include hiring, training and scheduling variable and seasonal staff and interns, working with other Foundation departments to provide accurate financial reports and sales projections and collaborating with house management and usher staffs to ensure performances run smoothly. Position will be primary Ticket Services contact for all Barns shows. Position will also play key role in maintaining the integrity of the ticketing database.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as on-site supervisor of ticket office during performances, including financial reconciliation of performance revenue with Programming Department as well as reconciling all box office transactions.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise variable and seasonal employees and interns.
Create, administer and monitor budget for payroll.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices for Ticket Services data management and reporting. Make recommendations to senior leadership and implement changes to meet goals.
Reporting and Ticketing
Create, distribute and ensure accuracy of data and reports to other Foundation departments and to outside promoters as necessary.
Collaborate with Programming and Marketing Departments to identify, research, develop and implement strategies to enhance Wolf Trap’s outreach.
Serve as key Foundation contact with Ticketing Vendor regarding data management.
Provide outstanding and timely responses to customer service complaints and inquiries in accordance with Foundation policies and guidelines.
Track trends, recommend and implement solutions to outstanding issues.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and customer service skills
Extensive knowledge of and experience using ticketing software and systems, experience with ProVenue and Tickets.com preferred
Outstanding attention to detail and technology skills including Microsoft Office; Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
Must be able to regularly work evenings and weekends
