Under general supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing & Ticketing Sales & Strategy, provide multimedia services to support the communication, marketing and development efforts of UC Davis Intercollegiate Athletics. Responsible for creating engaging content for a variety of mediums such as newsletters, website, multimedia, video and press releases, and communicating on social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Plus and Instagram, with accountability from concept to performance measurement. Assist in the development of creative campaigns to promote the 25 varsity sports programs as assigned. Complete from concept to print production most two-dimensional work for in-house use and distribution on behalf of UC Davis Athletics. Develop and implement video elements for electronic video display programs. Prepare charts, diagrams, illustrations and publications and presentations upon request; Produce visual content for the ucdavisaggies.com website. Responsible for proper archiving of all photos and videos. Supervise student assistants as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Graphic Design skills to create, edit and post multilevel pdf documents, (Adobe Acrobat).
Skills to utilize multimedia and digital video production software such as Final Cut Pro, Apple I-Movie, Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of graphic art photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Aperature.
Knowledge of budgeting principles and skills to establish itemized project budgets and make budget projections.
Knowledge of university editorial guidelines and style sheets and skills to proof final layout and design of all printed and published work.
Skills to recruit, select, train, supervise, and lead a design team comprised of students.
