The Ticketing Supervisor is responsible for ticketing and box office services for the entire university, AudienceView configuration, and event supervision. This position works closely with and takes direction from the Director of Ticketing Services.
Ticketing Oversight and Support: • Works directly with Director of Ticketing Services to ensure specific ticketing needs of CoPA, Musco, Athletics and other University departments are being met. • Configure ticketing components within AudienceView including events, series, bundles, pricing charts, venues, promotional offers, and ticket templates with the goal of efficient sales flows that result in seamless customer service transactions. • Responsible for taking customer orders via phone, through the mail, and in person during regular ticketing hours and ensuring customers are receiving the highest level of customer service and a consistent experience every time they interact with the Ticketing Services office. • Coordinate staffing of ticketing department to ensure patrons are assisted in a timely manner both when purchasing tickets in advance and on the evenings of events. • Test and troubleshoot all components of AudienceView prior to any functionality going live. General Ticketing Support: • Responsible for adhering to PCI compliance policies and ensuring the same for other ticketing staff and University departments • Oversee cash and check handling and do daily reconcilement in accordance with policies and procedures developed by Financial Services and Director of Ticketing Services • Maintain a working knowledge of trends in the ticketing industry and specifically university settings to recommend to the Director of Ticketing Services. • Occasionally be on-call to troubleshoot urgent system issues during ticketed events. Event Supervision: • Supervision of ticketing at events including many nights and weekends. • Ensure large ticketing dates are adequately staffed for optimal service. Data Reporting & Training Support: • Provide regular ticketing reports to heads of departments and Dir of Ticketing Services • Lead regular training sessions for new users of the system on a regular schedule. • Responsible for data mining and reporting requests for various departments including post-event settlements. Bachelor’s degree in a related field with demonstrated work experience in a ticketing office.
AudienceView or other ticketing software experience.
Technical skills to learn and use enterprise systems and departmental tools.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with extreme attention to detail.
Flexibility to work to work occasional nights and weekends.
Ability to exercise initiative and work independently.
Ability to use tact and diplomacy and to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of constituencies including students, campus departments, faculty, administrators, community organizations and off-campus clients.
Ability to learn and interpret university policy and departmental processes.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral communications.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complete them in a timely manner.
Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Experience in a higher education institution.
