More about the position… We are looking for:
An individual who is self-motivated to anticipate and meet or exceed stringent monthly and annual financial deadlines and demonstrate a commitment to the campus goal of maintaining excellence in its financial records by ensuring campus transactions are processed expeditiously.
A detail-oriented person who has the ability to analyze financial and statistical data and draw conclusions.
A critical thinker who can interpret and follow instructions and policy guidelines, as well demonstrate integrity and sound judgment in performing duties.
Someone who can contribute to a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with others inside and outside the athletic unit, including conveying financial information to non-financial end-users.
An individual who is committed to sustainability and excels in a diverse campus environment with students, employees, and visitors from different cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
An individual who has intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Knowledge of data warehouse and PeopleSoft preferred. The Associate Athletics Director for Business:
Is responsible for managing budgets, expenditures, and revenues for 14 team sports, and other individual units within the department.
Ensures completeness, accuracy, and conformance of athletic financial records within CSU, SSU, and NCAA policy requirements.
Assist with annual reporting requirements, including the EADA, NCAA reports, as well as the 3-year NCAA Agreed upon Procedures audit.
Serves as the key contact to support recruitment and personnel matters within athletics, including activities related to the onboarding, administration and maintenance of payroll, tracking of appropriate certifications and training, and the campus clearance process.
Serve as Sports Supervisor for various sport program(s) as assigned by the Senior Director of Athletics.
