The iconic Historic West Bend Theatre will become a sparkling venue for the performing arts and a gathering place for community events in southeastern Wisconsin.
Built in 1929 with near perfect acoustics, it went dark in 2006 and now is being renovated. It will retain its historic character and will be upgraded with modern infrastructure. Successful fundraising has allowed for a planned grand opening in early 2020.
JOB OBJECTIVE: Manage long-term strategy and day-to-day operations of the theatre
REPORTS TO: President and Theatre Board of Directors
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, theatre, business or equivalent experience. Technology skills appropriate to a managerial position.
5-7 years of relevant experience in arts organizations or non-profits
Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, theatre, business or equivalent experience, masters degree preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, board, volunteers and vendors
Knowledge of the day to day running of an organization
Knowledge of theatre marketing – promotion branding, video, social media and design
