Position Description: Oversee strategy development and execution of all Cleveland State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics activities in ticket sales and services, marketing and promotions, communications and digital media, and corporate sponsorship sales. Assist Director of Athletics, Foundation and Athletics Development Officer in building and executing fundraising initiatives (annual fund, major gifts and sport-program fundraising). Responsible for administrative oversight of 3-4 varsity sport programs and other strategic duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree •7+ years multi-unit experience in NCAA Division I athletics, or professional sports, marketing, promotions, ticket sales and/or communications. •Track-record of successful revenue generation and fan engagement activities. •Demonstrated leadership for multiple direct reports, including delivery of impactful professional development activities for supervised staff. •Commitment to NCAA compliance and assisting in delivering a positive student-athlete experience. •Excellent written and verbal communications skills. •Ability to efficiently multi-task and provide responsiveness within and outside of the organization. •Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under the University’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy. •Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications: •Master’s degree •Previous experience directly impacting revenue generation and fan engagement in men’s basketball. •Experience at multiple sub-levels of NCAA Division I, including FBS, FCS, and/or I-AAA.
