OVERVIEW Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series including American Songbook, Great Performers, Live From Lincoln Center, Mostly Mozart Festival, Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and White Light Festival.
In addition, LCPA supports an array of programs for Lincoln Center Education including its community and family programming. Further, LCPA supports initiatives related to events at the David Rubenstein Atrium, LC Kids, as well as numerous key institutional initiatives and projects.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Guest and Patron Services, the Manager, Guided Tours Sales is responsible for the development, promotion, and sale of Lincoln Center Guided Tours. The Manager, Guided Tours Sales will not only reimagine and update the Guided Tour offerings for contemporary audiences but will also work towards ambitious sales goals through cultivating internal and industry relationships and leading positive ROI marketing initiatives.
The Manager, Guided Tours Sales will work in close partnership with the Operations Manager, Guided Tours.
Oversee and manage the Guided Tours program budget, including annual revenue and expense projections and analysis.
Coordinate the production and implementation of sales-related materials, particularly those relating to packaged experiences.
Engage in marketing and promotional initiatives that build new audiences and expand annual tour takers; initiate and participate in cross-constituent initiatives and existing industry partnerships.
Liaise with Lincoln Center resident organizations to ensure content accuracy as well as venue access.
Partner with Lincoln Center archival teams, resident organizations, and stakeholders to develop tour content.
Cultivate tour and travel industry contacts; attend trade conferences; participate in the NYC Cultural Collection FAM tours and sales missions.
Perform lead generation activities with a focus on SMERF markets.
Maintain client accounts and handle all related billing and payments.
Other duties as assigned.
3-4 years of experience in travel/tourism sales.
An impeccable guest care ethic and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
Strong detail orientation and excellent organizational/follow-up skills
Prior experience with financial or budget management highly preferred.
High comfort with public speaking and superb relationship building skills
Proficiency or fluency in multiple languages a plus.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
Prior experience with Tessitura ticketing software preferred
Available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
