This position reports to the Deputy Athletic Director.
The position is responsible for programs that encourage and support the development of Stetson’s fan base and alumni as well as providing competitive platforms for teams and individuals competing in the ASUN Conference and Pioneer Football League. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, NCAA, conference and university regulations.
Independently plans, develops and implements a comprehensive ticket program for Stetson Athletics, which includes 8 ticketed sports: football, baseball, softball, indoor volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s soccer.
Builds and maintains season, single game and mini plan inventory and sporting venues using the Veritix ticketing system; Ability to hire, train, lead and oversee full-time and part-time ticket sales staff; Works with compliance staff, coaching staff members and visiting team ticket staff to ensure we are compliant with complimentary admissions per NCAA rules and game contract obligations; Spearheads and supervises ticket sales staff weekly and monthly sales goals and strategies; Ability to stay superbly organized with staff scheduling for office hours and events, revenue tracking and reporting; Maintains accurate records of all prospecting activities and sales in ticketing database; Performs essential game day responsibilities; Attends promotional and community events to increase and drive sales; Works closely with compliance staff to ensure all ticket distributions are compliant with NCAA, ASUN and Pioneer Football League regulations; Supervise two full-time staff and up to 25 student employees by hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating all staff according to athletic department and customer needs; Provides exceptional customer service to all potential and current customers and proactively contribute to the resolution of any client issues while building and maintaining relationships with season ticket holders; Demonstrates skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement; and Performs other site and position specific functions as assigned.
Willingness to learn and also train staff on Banner, Argos, Veritix and JumpForward operating systems that are essential to optimizing job performance
Ability to lead and mentor all direct reports, while creating a positive and productive work environment. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with highly honed interpersonal skills
