The Herberger Theater Center is seeking a full-time DIRECTOR OF PATRON EXPERIENCE for immediate employment. This position champions the patron experience in all Front of House services; providing positive, memorable, professional customer service to all patrons who attend the 800+ performances and events at the Herberger Theater Center. This position trains and supervises the Front of House team to ensure a positive patron experience through the safe and effective management of the Front of House services. Physical ability to lift 40lbs, and ascend and descend stairs;
Communicate effectively in the English language in writing or by phone or in person in a one-to-one or group setting;

Exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions;
Give verbal and written instructions in an on-the-job setting;
Prepare detailed work reports in a timely manner;
Direct volunteers in a respectful and constructive manner;
Operate a variety of standard office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive arm-hand movements;
Learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation which takes place mainly in an on-the-job training setting;
Comprehend and make inferences from written material;
Remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time.
Position requires availability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends;
Other duties as required.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Experience working in Front of House operations at a Performing Arts Center plus experience supervising others. Experience working to create positive and memorable customer service is essential. Experience working onstage or backstage at a performing Arts Center is a plus. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
