Minot State University is seeking candidates for a full-time Coordinator of Sports Information. Minot State University is a proud member of NCAA DII and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Coordinator of Sports Information resides in the Athletic Department and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Strategic Communications. This individual will cover and promote the Athletic Department's 16 intercollegiate athletic teams, members of the NSIC and NCAA Division II and serves as a public relations specialist and Game Day practitioner for the athletic department.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
Serves as a serves as a public relations specialist and Game Day practitioner for the athletic department.
Game Day 1. Coordinates technical aspects of running “Game Day”. 2. Responsible for coordination and production of radio broadcast, web streaming, television, and keeping statistics/records using StatCrew/Genius Sports. 3. Develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. 4. Maintain files accurately, in paper and in software programs.
Content Curation 1. Coordinates department’s presence on the World Wide Web, including content and design. 2. Coordinates daily maintenance and updating of athletic department website. 3. External promotion of events. 4. Editor for all departmental publications; Ability to create, compose, and edit written material. 5. Works with ADA-SC to coordinate all photography services. 6. Members of department’s creative team. 7. Member of graphic standards team.
Media Liaison 1. Contact for media. 2. Effectively coordinate events and programs with the media. 3. Interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the University community and the public. 4. Member of publicity team for all aspects of Minot State University Athletics. 5. Works with ADA-SC to coordinate all interviews with administration, staff, coaches, and students. 6. Communicate effectively and appropriately.
Administrative 1. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 2. Ability to make frequent trips to locations outside of the University area. 3. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required with 1-3 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics. Must have good writing, interpersonal communication and leadership skills.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
