Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Operations for the Women's Ice Hockey program under the general supervision of the Head Coach. This is a non-coaching position which will coordinate the operational aspects of the Women's Ice Hockey program by assisting with video operations; oversee the budget; coordinating class schedules; hiring and managing managers; provide support for Assistant Coach with camp coordinating; provide support for Head Coach with scheduling non-conference and tournament games; act as a liaison to conference and other departments within Penn State Athletics including the Office of Compliance; compile team related stats; plan, coordinate, and execute year-long travel plans; handle the arrangement of team practice scheduling; manage student parking; coordinate Housing; coordinate player-guest tickets; coordinate team community service activities; organize all aspects of recruiting visits; organize New Student Orientation; and coordinate annual Team Banquet. This job will be filled as a level 1 or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
