The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has an exciting opportunity for two House Managers. The primary responsibility of these positions is to work together with Front of House staff and under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Meyerson Operations to ensure all Front of House activities run smoothly and efficiently. These position(s) require excellent communication, problem-solving and excellent customer service skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a large group of part-time ushers. The qualified candidates will preferably hold a bachelor’s degree or like experience and have prior experience in the Front of the House management in a performing arts organization. Interest in classical music is ideal. The successful candidate will be poised and professional. Also required is the ability to work various hours, including holidays, weekends and evenings.
More specifically, the House Manager(s) will represent the Dallas Symphony Association at all Meyerson events, exhibiting the highest degree of customer service to all patrons under every circumstance; train and lead all Front of House staff in achieving this same goal; ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons at every performance and event; walk the house during performance to check on security and safety, staff performance, cleanliness and repair of the facility; ensure that all patrons and staff have departed at the end of each event; assist all Front of House representatives during events to ensure a seamless, pleasant and customer service-oriented operation for all patrons.
