The U.S. Cellular Center is seeking to fill a full-time Senior Events Manager position. The purpose of this position is to perform responsible supervisory and public contact work in directing, and coordinating U.S. Cellular Center events.
This is a full-time position. Work hours will vary according to the U.S. Cellular Center event schedule, which may include night, weekend, and holiday hours.
This position will remain open until it is filled.
The Senior Events Manager is responsible for all front of house training and planning including crowd management plans and event logistics. A person in this position acts as the manager on duty during events, supervising all working staff.
In this role, the Senior Events Manager:
Advances all assigned events. Specifically the venue's largest and most complicated events. Manages day of show logistics. Supervises all staff and acts as manager on duty during events. Creates, updates, and manages safety plans and training. Ensures all work related to event is completed accurately. Provides guidance and mentorship to staff. Utilizes the When2Work scheduling app, Ticketing System software, AutoCAD software and other technologies as needed. Performs additional duties as needed.
The successful candidate should have:
At least three years of experience in event management.
At least one year of supervisory experience.
Associates degree in related field OR more than two years of advanced study in field.
The U.S. Cellular Center Asheville is the prominent venue of Western North Carolina. The venue consists the 7,200 seat ExploreAsheville.com Arena, the 2,400 seat Thomas Wolfe Auditorium and roughly 85,000 sq ft of meeting and expo space in the heart of Downtown Asheville.
