Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, the Business Intelligence Analyst will join a small and growing team focused on delivering key insights to ticket sales, marketing, and executive staff. The department, located in the New York headquarters, services data processing and visualizations for thirteen regional offices operating 45 cities in North America.
This role will: • Participate in collaboration with marketing and ticket sales teams to understand business questions. • Work closely with Data Warehouse Specialist and other dataset owners to understand institutional data capabilities. • Design and develop reporting to address business problems, building and gathering additional data sources as needed. • Analyze data to identify actionable trends and share findings with regional teams and national executives. • Build and maintain dashboards and ad hoc reporting for regional teams and national executives. • Build processes and standards that inspire trust and provide consistent metrics across the organization. • Monitor usage of reporting and dashboards to surface areas where additional training and resources may be needed to ensure best possible utilization of tools. • Support Director of Business Intelligence and VP, Ticketing and Analytics with other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate has: • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in a report development, business analytics, or comparable data analysis role using modern analytics tools such as Tableau, Domo, etc. • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data warehouse/integration and business intelligence environment. • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training. • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to deduce business questions and communicate findings with patience and positivity. • Skill with design thinking and visualization concepts that drive story-telling. • Acute listening skills to deduce action steps from key business questions, and develop a plan to deliver reliable reporting at scale. • Collaborative, strategic, and results-driven mindset. • Ability to tackle multiple projects and initiatives at a time. • Ability to work independently while maintaining open dialogue with managers regarding progress, troubleshooting, and prioritization.
