Directs, supervises and schedules Labor Crews. Primary contract administrator for Engineering, Housekeeping, Landscaping, Parking, Traffic Control, Pest Control, Recycling, Waste and other contracted services. Coordinates recycling and diversion programs. Ensures that Operations Department receives pertinent information for the most effective use of the facility and staffing. Assists in preparation of the annual operations and capital budgets. Authorizes the requisition of equipment and supplies within budget guidelines. Provides yearly inventory of all equipment. Knows and ensures all laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergency procedures are followed. Develops programs to train all employees on Fire/Life Safety, Emergency and OSHA Procedures! Investigates, analyzes and resolves operational issues, problems and complaints. Conducts periodic staff meetings to discuss procedures, problems and policy changes. Coordinates preparation and negotiation of Service Agreements. Reviews contracts for compliance with events and/or government specifications and suitability for occupancy. Negotiates with vendors, unions, contractors and/or service providers. Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies. Assist Vice President in implementation of energy saving guidelines and efforts. Serves as project manager for special projects, such as construction, remodeling or expansion. Plans and directs outside vendors/contractors work to assure compliance with contracts and safety requirements. Ensure facility’s fire and emergency safety systems are in operating order and follows all codes, ordinances and laws. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities include:
Leads subordinate supervisors and labor crews. Coordinates overall direction and evaluation of subordinate units. Provides clear, concise, and timely communication. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; redirecting employees in conjunction with Human Resources and in alignment with union contracts; addressing complaints and grievances and, resolving problems.
Serves as MOD (Manager on Duty) as required.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Facilities Management, Maintenance Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5-7 years facility management experience in a union environment. 2-3 years of management experience required in an arena, stadium or equivalent. Ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus.
A successful candidate should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook, CAD, CMMS, ABI, and Project Management software.
About Sacramento Kings
Golden 1 Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena, located in downtown Sacramento, California. It sits partially on the site of the former Downtown Plaza shopping center. The publicly owned arena is part of a business and entertainment district called Downtown Commons, otherwise known as DoCo, which will include a $250 million 16-story mixed-use tower.
The arena will host concerts, conventions and other sporting and entertainment events. the arena replaced Sleep Train Arena as the home of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association. There are 34 luxury suites, three exclusive clubs on the premium level including two sky boxes that will overlook the concourse and have a direct view of the outside. There will also be 48 loft-style suites. Capacity can be expandable to about 19,000 to accommodate concert audiences.
