Elon University is seeking highly motivated individual to serve as Director of Video Production for Athletics. The Director of Video Production for Athletics will serve as a member of the Athletics Communication team and will work closely with the Coordinating Producer of Elon Sports Vision in the Elon University School of Communications on all aspects of live video production of athletic events. Additionally, this position will work closely with external units and sport teams to conceptualize and execute video projects including intro videos, commercials, videoboard and streaming graphical assets, highlight videos and more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for streaming 80+ live events in collaboration with the School of Communications under the Elon Sports Vision brand. In addition to live streaming events, this individual and students working in this office: • Will create team intro videos, starting lineup introductions, preview videos and post-event highlight videos for all 17 of Elon's Division I athletic teams; • Will produce video-based content in support of marketing, development, branding and ticket sales initiatives; • In conjunction with Elon Sports Vision, the Athletics Communications staff and the Athletics Marketing Staff, will create original video content for in-venue and online distribution, motion graphics for video boards, and graphics that improve the viewer experience during live events and enhance the broadcast; • Will serve as the staff resource for the latest trends in video style, production, resolution, mobile-compatibility and strategy; • Will manage and contribute creative ideas involving content for social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, as well as helping create and enhance Elon's brand identity as established with members of the external team; • Will serve as a liaison between Athletics and the School of Communications with regard to Elon Sports Vision, the institution's comprehensive live event and sports-programming production and broadcasting unit; • Will recruit, train and lead a student video team to stream events and create content; • This individual will work with Communications representatives to Elon Sports Vision and determine events for broadcast, broadcast production levels and staffing for broadcasts. • Will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time and a working knowledge of college athletics; • Will require the ability to work games on nights and weekends during sport seasons; and • Must demonstrate a commitment to departmental and institutional policies and procedures, as well NCAA rules compliance and adherence to NCAA regulations.
