Description of Duties: Full-time position. The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) in contributing to the growth and profitability of the business, with management oversight in specific areas as assigned including direct supervision. Functions as an extension of the GM for ensuring event execution excellence within the venue. Performs all General Manager functions in the absence of the General Manager; does related duties as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Event Management, Marketing or closely related field; and Four (4) years’ experience in experience general arena/facility management, box office or ticketing operations, office management or marketing and sales including supervising the work of others; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling eight (8) years.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong human relations skills; Effective presentation skills; Certified Fair Executive “CFE” designation from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) or Certified Venue Executive (CVE) from the International Association of Venue Mangers (IAVM) is preferred.
