PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees & budgets the front-of-house, i.e., ushers, ticket-scanners, security, local law enforcement and emergency response crews, metal detector staff, etc. with estimates for all events and works with the promoters and convention clients on estimates that go to settlement. Liaise with tour promoters, security directors, meeting planners and convention services staff for the coordination of all front-of-house needs from security and medical to ushers, ticket-scanners, greeters and other staff. Manages Human Resources responsibilities to include; creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements. Manages assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the company, department, and division. Partner with appropriate teams and utilize applicable program/software for all events to ensure sponsorship activations or convention set-ups meet fire code and get submitted for permits as needed. Manages and monitors fiscal budget to produce both short term and long-term profitability for the theater/arena. Distributes property-wide Event Information Sheets. Works with the Ticket Office personnel on ticketing/scanning matters. Be aware of and remedy any safety concerns that could contribute to guest inconvenience. Coordinate with Production Manager on all events to ensure staff and security schedules meet production schedules. Coordinate with Security management on all events to arrange proper security staffing schedules, coverage and account for all on event estimates for settlement. Responds, whether orally or in writing, to guest concerns. Perform other job-related duties as requested SUPERVISION: Supervisor Special Events and/or Event Services Oversees Third Party Ushers and Security Vendors
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience
At least five (5) years of experience in event management or related
PREFERRED:
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
Previous supervisory/management experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Gaming license in applicable jurisdiction(s)
