About Our Job
The Production & Facility Manager will report directly to the General Manager of Paramount Theatre. Paramount Theatre is a fast-paced work environment, presenting the entertainment industry’s top touring talent year round.
Job responsibilities will include: •Advances all production aspects of events with local and/or touring personnel to ensure all needs are met. Includes, but is not limited to: scheduling labor, arranging sound, lighting and power requirements, arranging meals for staff and tour personnel, managing allocated funds per event, coordinating parking. •Advises promoters and/or touring personnel regarding economical solutions to help maximize revenue and reduce expenses. •Plans and controls the budgets, expenses and petty cash related to events •Submits bills and reports to accounting for settlement. •Works closely with box office in advance and on event days to determine appropriate seating configuration and ADA compliance. •Attends to requests and needs of promoter / director / performer on event day. •Acts as the main contact for contractors: merchandise, stagehands, audio support, video support, caterers, equipment rental vendors, etc. •Communicates to KSE Engineering staff in a timely manner to address complex facility repairs and maintenance projects. •Plans and regularly directs the work of KSE employees and contract labor (Rhino Staging, Premier Facility Services) in the timely production of events. This direction often takes place while the Production Manager is the sole KSE employee on site with decision making responsibility. •Recommends employees for show calls, assignments and promotions. •Determines the type of materials, supplies and tools to be used in the production of events. •Ensures that facility permits are updated and renewed, as necessary. •Provides for the safety of the employees on site during load-in and load-out and suggests changes in procedures to ensure safe practices. •Performs various maintenance functions to include painting, repairs, and other tasks as needed. •Build a working knowledge of both Dicks Sporting Goods Park and Paramount Theatre. Master the facility systems at both venues including the micro lite, HVAC, and other systems. Be prepared to run and manage events at both venues such as Rapids Games, performances, races, Rugby, or other such events as assigned. •Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Our ideal candidate will have the following: •College course work is ideal. •Functional knowledge of safety standards and equipment, hardware and tools required for day-to-day maintenance of the facility. •General knowledge of accepted theatrical practices and procedures. •Functional knowledge of all aspects of event production to include electrical, rigging, audio/visual, coordination of outside vendor functions, event budgeting, etc. •Solid project management skills. •Working knowledge of hardware and tools required for day to day maintenance of facility. •Basic proficiency in word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and database applications, preferred. •Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
We appreciate your interest in working with KSE but please do not apply if you do not have the following required minimum qualifications: •Education Requirement – High school diploma or GED. •Experience Requirement - Three to five years production experience to include lighting, electrical, rigging, video, sound, scheduling, and project management with events of at least 2,000 to 10,000 in attendance. Two to four years work related experience in facility upkeep and maintenance.
