This position supervises the operation of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in terms of the overall site preparation, converting from one event to the next, housekeeping, landscaping and other services required for the facility to operate efficiently in going from event to event. This is a large and strategically critical division of the Complex. The individual selected for this position will provide necessary management support to oversee Event Prep and Housekeeping sections of the operation. These divisions provide coverage requirements of a 24 hours a day and 365 day a year operation generating over 1,100 event days per year including on the Complex site and at select satellite locations for certain events. This position requires a high level of industry specific managerial and technical skills. In Event Prep section, the position oversees supervisors, lead workers and full and part-time staff and contractor labor responsible for day and night-time conversions, including making skating ice, basketball court installations, seat and meeting room risers, concert stages, tables, chairs, bike racks, barricades and other industry equipment for proper event set-up. The safety and operation of the equipment including forklifts and small tools are an aspect this position will manage. Facility pest control and landscaping contractors fall within the scope of management in this division and weekly oversight. This position oversees supervisors, lead workers and full and part-time staff in the Housekeeping section that will ensure the inside and exterior of the facility is properly cleaned prior to, during and after all events. This position will coordinate necessary staffing and contractors and assure that rolling housekeeping equipment is maintained in proper working order. Trash management, recycling and proper stock of important materials such as paper products, trash bags, tape, snow/ice melt, etc. are in stock. This position and a dedicated Assistant Operations Manager will interface directly with managerial personnel and owners of key vendor companies and will respond to event managers, promoters and other operational personnel of clients to assure that events are properly set-up and equipped to meet client standards while meeting facility safety and cleanliness standards. This person will oversee Kronos time card systems for its two sections as well as working to oversee full and part-time hires in Event Prep and Housekeeping. This position works a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays when necessary. The person hired in this position's schedule will be subject to the overall event schedule. This job is Exempt and is not subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards
Four-year degree from an accredited college or university "OR" an equivalency of an Associate's degree with 8 years of related work experience in a Coliseum, Stadium or other Public Assembly facility or stadium.
4 years' experience supervising operations in a coliseum, convention center, stadium, hotel, ballpark or other public assembly facility.
Valid driver's license
Prior experience with Microsoft Office software
Prior experience managing staff including scheduling, training, evaluation and staff improvement plans.
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with CAD file software
Work Schedule: 40 hours Wednesday - Tuesday including nights, weekends and Holidays.

About Greensboro Coliseum Complex
The Tanger Center is projected to host nearly 150 events per year and will be managed by the staff of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The Tanger Center will host a diverse variety of events including concerts, Guilford College’s Bryan Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra performances, comedy shows and all types of family entertainment including Broadway and other live theatrical productions.
