Director of Sales

Augustana University (SD) is seeking qualified applicants for a Director of Sales position within our Athletic department. This position is responsible for generating revenue for Augustana Athletics by overseeing and executing the advertising, sponsorship sales, and sponsorship fulfillment on behalf of the athletics department. This includes creating and cultivating positive business relationships (current and new), the prospecting of potential sponsors, development and presentation of innovative sponsorship packages, and selling sponsorship and premium seating opportunities. With metrics-based accountability, the Director of Sales will assist our partners in making an impact on Augustana Athletics and Viking Bold: The Journey to 2030, Augustana’s comprehensive strategic plan.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

•Generate revenue for Augustana Athletics. •Prospect, develop and sell corporate sponsorship opportunities to local and regional businesses. •Create annual plan for renewal and new business as well as coordinate and execute sponsor fulfillment. •Prospect, develop and sell premium seat tickets to businesses and individuals. •Develop marketing materials as sales tools and work closely with Senior Director for Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships (University Advancement), Director of Athletics Annual Giving, and Associate AD for Development on prospecting and sales.
