UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Director, Business and Finance.
Under the direction of the Associate A.D., Business and Finance, the selected candidate assists in the day-to-day management of the Athletics' Business Office (a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization) within UCF, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and manage assigned departmental budgets;
Process and record transactions and ensure that all requisitions, invoices and reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with financial policies and budget;
Review and approve purchase requisitions;
Prepare journal entries for assigned accounts;
Coordinate business operations (including revenue collection) with Ticket Office, Corporate Sponsorships, Foundation, Business Financial Services, and other campus entities;
Monthly reconciliations and reporting (tickets, donations, licensing, capital projects);
Engage in the management of the scholarship budget and Nutrition Center analyses;
Provide support towards audit preparation and year-end closing;
Research and completion of federal reports as assigned;
Oversee the daily work of the Assistant Directors for Business.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of appropriate experience. Prefer demonstrated experience in reconciliations, financial statement preparation and analysis, and audits. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls, computer (Microsoft Office and accounting software), Archtics, and interpersonal skills also preferred.
