SU's athletic program fields 20 Division I intercollegiate teams (9 men’s and 11 women’s) and is comprised of more than 340 student athletes. The Redhawks compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in all sports and have an excellent track record of achievement on the field, court, and in the classroom.

Seattle University is offering two Graduate Assistantships for the 2021-22 academic year.

Job Descriptions:

Student-Athlete Academic Support Graduate Assistant

Provide excellent supplemental advising and mentorship to student-athletes.

Communicate effectively with coaching staff members from 3-6 teams with primary academic support duties.

Assist in planning all student-athlete development events, including orientations, speakers, career programming, service and wellness programming.

Monitor study hall for student-athletes.

Attend advising network meetings and professional development events.

Liaison with campus resources (Learning Assistance Programs, Writing Center, Math Lab, Career Services, Academic Departments, and others)

Create and distribute class absence letters and calendars each term for applicable teams.

Athletic Advancement & Donor Relations Graduate Assistant

Work with athletic development staff in coordinating and implementing the renewal and stewardship efforts with annual fund donors.

Assist Athletics Development Officer on special event planning and execution.

Manage procurement of auction items and assist in tracking and securing revenues derived from event registration and auctions.

Plan and execute annual and team fund campaign.

Organize donor related correspondence and coordinate volunteers.

Research donor leads and develop prospect lists in concert with ticket sales campaigns.

Graduate assistantships are only available for fully admitted students pursuing an MBA in Sports and Entertainment Management (MBA-SEM) at Seattle University. You will be an integral part of SU’s Athletic Department. These positions require energy, commitment, and a high level of self-accountability and responsibility.
