Summary: The Fan Experience Coordinator Internship is a 10-month program that provides participants with a comprehensive opportunity to learn about Fan Experience & Brand Development. It is focused on planning and organizational efforts related to creating the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina. Our interns learn every aspect of how an athletic sports marketing office operates in a Power 5 conference school, and will leave the program well prepared for the next step in their career. We are committed to ensuring that each intern receives valuable experience through a variety of special projects and day-to-day interaction with student-athletes, coaches, internal staff members and additional campus partners. Now accepting applications from candidates interested in completing our 10-month program which will begin August 2, 2021. Learning Opportunities: 1. Learn about the development of marketing and sales plans for all 18 athletic programs. 2. Learn about driving ticket sales and event awareness through the development and execution of traditional and grassroots marketing and sales plans for various sports. 3. Gain an understanding of the facets of student engagement through the development and execution of marketing plans and concepts that will drive engagement and membership in the Screamin’ Demon Student Rewards program. 4. Coordinate with the fan experience staff and local community organizations on the planning and preparation for special city-wide and university events. 5. Increase skill sets related to graphic and visual design by working in partnership with the Fan Experience and Creative Strategy teams to create select graphic and video assets for use in promoting athletic programs and special events. 6. Gain hands-on experience in digital marketing through involvement with internet and social media advertising planning and execution, as well as email marketing initiatives. 7. Learn how to execute all tasks in compliance with department, University, ACC, and NCAA rules and regulations. Supervisor’s Role: Learning will take place with various staff members, including the Associate Athletic Director of Fan Experience and Sales, the Assistant Athletic Director of Fan Experience and Sales, and the Associate Director of Fan Experience and Sales. Their roles are to educate interns on all aspects of the responsibilities under their area.
