- The primary responsibility of the Assistant Director of Athletics Development and Special Events is the planning and execution of fundraising events, including the AD Reception, Golf Classic, Blue & Gray Bash, and other special events. - The position will manage the Osprey Club Hospitality experiences, including the UNF Arena’s Bank of England Suite and all hospitality offerings at other Athletics’ venues. Ensure a high level of service is provided to Osprey Club members and season ticket holders. - The position is also expected to seek, identify, cultivate and solicit gifts for the Athletics’ annual fund. - Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external service providers, vendors, and stakeholders; establish expectations, standards, and accountability for the provision of services that ensure a high level of customer experience. - The position will be responsible for meeting annual revenue and memberships goals for the Osprey Club and Athletics’ Development, as established by the Director of Athletics, Senior Associate AD, and University Development’s Assistant VP. - The position must have the ability to develop, create, document and implement successful engagement and solicitation strategy for assigned prospects. Managing a portfolio of donor prospects and inputs contact reports regularly for each significant interaction to achieve goals. - Identify and qualify new prospects for major gifts and support of Athletic Department initiatives and document all activity in the CRM database. - Assists in implementing a stewardship and donor experience strategy that appropriately thanks, retains and cultivates donors to UNF Athletics. - The position will manage and execute the Endowed and Named Scholarship process and database. - Provide support to Athletics’ annual giving initiatives, including 904 Day and Giving Challenge. - Attend donor events as a representative of the Athletic Department and use those events as cultivation opportunities. - Attend University Development and Alumni Engagement (UDAE) Staff and PTS meetings and keep the CRM database up to date. - Work in a coordinated and collaborative effort with University Development staff regarding identification, stewardship and proposal development. - Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate AD or UDAE Assistant VP as they related to overall fundraising goals.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization and one year of experience directly related to the job functions.
