Drake University seeks a detail-oriented individual to assist in the administration and management operations of the Athletics Ticket Office. This individual will assist in ticket operations that will include, but not be limited to, ticket order processing, billing and collection from ticket holders, fan and donor relationship building, staff supervision, and daily accounting functions. The selected candidate must demonstrate a highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. The position will work collaboratively with marketing, development, and ticket sales staff to focus on revenue generating goals. This position is eligible for a customized work arrangement including flex scheduling and remote work.
Assist Ticket Office operations, which will include but not be limited to, customer service, ticket processing, billing and collection from ticketholders and donors, database management, processing of daily deposits and ticket reporting. Assist in supervision of student-workers to ensure consistent and professional customer service is being provided.
Works collaboratively with ticket sales, marketing and development staff to manage, develop and implement sport-specific sales and promotional plans. Contribute to the outbound ticket sales and development efforts. Represent organization at university, community and networking events to increase and drive sales, create goodwill and help promote the university and athletics department. Develops and implements ticketing updates to ticketing micro-site and email campaigns.
Assist with game management and operations at home athletics events.
Ensure the confidentiality of all data maintained in the Ticket Office through policies, procedures, and accounting standards. Must demonstrate the skills and abilities to assess and resolve problems within the policies and procedures of the department and university.
Ensure compliance with all policies, rules, and regulations of Drake University, NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference, Pioneer Football League, Summit League, and M.A.A.C.
Experience with AXS ticketing system or similar ticketing system Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products – specifically Excel required Innovative and enthusiastic – able to think outside the box Proven ability to meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and customer service background Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends
