Auburn University Athletics seeks candidates for 2 positions as Assistant Directors of Ticket Operations. These positions will assist in the management and leadership of the athletic department’s ticket office and operations (Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Baseball and Softball).
The Assistant Directors must function in a number of leadership roles, customer service, game-day operations, sport specific ticketing operations, management for back-office ticketing software and technology and conflict resolution. Customer service is an essential responsibility of this position, selected candidate will be involved in assisting donors, faculty-staff, students, and the general public at the sales window, on the phone and through emails. This individual assists in the selection and training of all student employees. All operations must be completed in compliance with the Tigers Unlimited priority system, University Auditing, State, NCAA and SEC policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
Assists in the day-to-day operation of the ticket office. This includes daily customer service work, overall supervision of ticket office personnel, and gameday operations for all sports.
Responsible for assisting patrons on the phone, in-person as well as through email communications, including the general ticket office email account.
Serve as first line of supervision beyond part-time staff and student employees.
Manages all facets of ticket operations for select sport(s) (ticket allocation, seat changes, set-up, ticket printing & shipping). Including post-season tickets operations for select sport(s) and events.
Assists in the resolution of customer complaints or problems for donors, athletic coaches/staff, Auburn faculty/staff, alumni, public ticket purchasers and other assorted groups.
Work in conjunction with Tigers Unlimited, Ticket Sales, Marketing and Communications on ticket sales plans, strategy, and timelines.
Responsible for all reporting, requests, and Equerry reports regarding select sports.
Responsible for the screening, hiring, and training ticket office student workers.
Coordinate management of the ticket office portion of the SharePoint site with Athletics OIT.
Assistant in managing Auburn Ticket Office social media accounts and strategy.
Responsible for the maintenance and distribution of ticket scanners at football and select other event, including scanner set up and distribution.
Responsible for upkeep and maintenance on all ticket related equipment; ticket printers, office printers, copy machine, postage machine, etc…
Coordinates with Tiger Paws, Cheerleaders, Letterman and other campus/off-campus groups and their ticketing needs.
Travel to select events to administer and distribute player/coach/administrator tickets and will call.
Responsible for compliance to all state, University, NCAA, and SEC rules regarding ticket sales and distribution
Minimum Education and Experience
Level I-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Sports Administration, or related field plus 2 years experience with intercollegiate or professional sports ticketing operations
Level II- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Sports Administration, or related field plus 4 years experience with intercollegiate or professional sports ticketing operations
